At this dimpled beauty and you know Deepika Padukone was marked for fame and the world of glamour. And she hasn’t disappointed. From the daughter of a famous sportsperson to a supermodel, to an actress and now dating the dishy Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone has done it all with panache.


She has appeared in several print and television commercials like Liril, Limca and Close-up. She was the brand ambassador for Jewels of India, a jewelry exhibition and the face of Maybelline, an international brand. She also appeared in the 2006 Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar.


She received recognition on the modeling scene by winning the Model of the Year title by the fifth Kingfisher Fashion Awards. The India Zee F Awards saw her walking away with not one but two prizes – Female Model of the Year (Commercial assignments) and Fresh Face of the Year.She graced Himesh Reshamiyya’s video ‘Naam Hai Tera’ from his album Aap Ka Suroor.


Her debut Farah Khan’s Om Shanthi Om was opposite none other than Shah Rukh Khan. She played a double-role, first as Shanthipriya a movie star and later as the bubble gum chewing star-struck Sandy. She walked away with the Filmfare Best Female Debut award and was nominated for the Filmfare Best Actress award.She starred opposite her beau Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Hai Haseeno, which released in 2008.

Leah Dizon releases her own line of Kimonos

(Source: Sanspo) The 21 year-old celebrity produced and modelled her own line of Kimonos at Westin hotel in Kyoto on 4th August 2008. Her designs included motifs of butterflies and doves. Leah Dizon also expressed her wish to wear her kimonos at her future wedding.

Why's she always talking about weddings? Yea yea yea. Blah.

Leah Dizon: New Album and Japan Tour Plans

(Source: Sanspo) Leah Dizon (21) 's new album "Communication!" goes on sale on 20th August 2008 and plans for her first tour in early October were announced. She wrote lyrics for 10 of the 12 songs on this album, and also composed the tunes of two rock songs "Lost at Sea" and "BxKxRxxx".

Her mum's love for rock music had influenced Leah Dizon as a kid and led her to learn to play the guitar. She picked up the instrument again last summer, which is also the main instrument featured in her two songs.

Leah Dizon serves up Vanilla Ice Cream to promote her single, 'Vanilla'

(Source: Sanspo) The 21-year old America-born singer appeared in Shibutani on 25th of June in a mini-skirt outfit that "showed off her beautiful legs and decoletage" [literally translated from the Sanspo article, quite direct eh], to promote her new single "Vanilla" by serving up vanilla ice- cream. Shibutani youngsters were rightly surprised; an estimated 2000 plus males flooded her little caravan-bus ice cream stand.

Her knees looked a bit squeezed and unhappy in the above photo however, you think? Haha. Love the expression on her face. ^_^
