Paris Hilton's another memorable interview

Gave viewers another memorable interview when Dan Harris asked Paris Hilton if she worried about the low ratings for her new show, "The World According to Paris" or felt overshadowed by Kim Kardashian. She looked uncomfortable, but answered the questions. Things got hotter when Harris asked if her moment passed.

She made the media rounds this summer, heavily promoting her latest reality show. Despite being a starlet since her teen years and promoting a variety of projects such as "The Simple Life," 30-year-old Paris often becomes flustered during interviews. It is as though her admittedly fake airhead persona is at odds with her business-savvy side.

Craig Ferguson has a reputation for getting celebrities to go beyond the usual spiel and Paris was no exception. When discussing her line of 13 fragrances, he asked if she constructed the scents. Paris said yes and the conversation continued as though she somehow concocted the perfumes in a lab. He finally asked her to describe the formula and she explained she only helped choose the scents.

When she said you only live once, he said there are many Hindus who would disagree. The heiress did not get the reincarnation link. The host likes to end interviews with an awkward pause or by playing harmonicas with the guest. Paris must not watch the show.

She comfortably discussed her TV show, career and stalkers, but walked off the set when the host asked her if it was a good decision to have Brooke Mueller on her reality show amidst all the drinking and partying cast members. Mueller, a recovering drug and alcohol addict, ultimately left "The World According to Paris" and sought rehab.

When Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters questioned why Paris chose to focus on the frivolous side of her life. Walters brought up Paris' 2007 stint in prison and her decision to take life more seriously and help those in need, particularly women prisoners.Walters asked if there was a serious side to her personality and what happened to her commitment to service.

Melora Hardin hot and latest photo gallery

Hardin was born on 29th June 1967, in Houston, TX and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Her father, Jerry Hardin, was a prolific character actor who appeared in over 100 films and TV shows; her mother, Diane Hardin, was the acting coach behind young stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Hilary Swank, Kellie Martin, and River Ph nix. Young Melora didn't need any encouragement to go into show business, however, as she seemed born to entertain.

Inspired by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand, Hardin was singing and writing songs from the start, even before she began taking ballet lessons at the age of five. She begged her parents to let her audition for acting roles, and when she was eight, scored a toothpaste ad on her very first outing. Her first television role, in a Little Rascals-inspired show called "Cliffwood Avenue Kids" (NBC, 1977) came at the age of 10, followed by a string of appearances on seventies guest star staples like "The Love Boat" (ABC 1977-1986) and "Diff'rent Strokes"(NBC, 1978-1985).

She took some time off to return to the East Coast, studying at Sarah Lawrence College, before heading to Europe for months of solitary world travel that would be sure to inform her future as a well-rounded actress. In 1991, the avid song-and-dance gal landed the dream role of a vintage-era nightclub singer in "The Rocketeer," contributing several songs to the film's soundtrack. Throughout the nineties, she maintained an impressive schedule as a working actress - steady appearances on shows like "Quantum Leap" (NBC, 1989-1993) and "Caroline in the City" (NBC, 1995-99) and several juicy, memorable character moments like getting Ross to talk dirty on "Friends" (NBC, 1994-2004).

Being part of an award-winning cast opened new doors for Hardin, who appeared in the Golden Globe winning film "Thank You for Smoking" (2006) and made her film directorial debut with "You" (2007).In addition to impressive work on film and TV, Hardin released two CDs of original, theatrical-tinged vocal stylings - Meloradrama and Purr. She also performed at the Globe Theater in San Diego. In 2007, she directed the play "Strip Search," which enjoyed successful runs at the White Fire Theater and the Acme Comedy Theater, both in Los Angeles.

Paris Hilton: Paris Hilton settles Hallmark lawsuit

Hollywood actress Paris Hilton will be getting a little something in the mail from Hallmark this year. The socialite has settled a lawsuit against the company over a greeting card that featured a scene seemingly ripped from her old reality show "The Simple Life."

The caption read "Paris's First Day as a Waitress" and made a pun on her trademarked catch phrase, "That's Hot." In 2007, Hilton sued, claiming her publicity rights had been violated.Last week, attorneys for Hilton and Hallmark advised a California judge that they had reached a settlement. A confidentiality provision limits the release of exact terms.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which handed Hilton a huge legal victory last year. The appeals court rejected Hallmark's protected-speech argument and raised doubts that the greeting card was "transformative" expression.

The two sides have been preparing for a December trial. Evidence was being collected to ascertain the commercial value of Hilton's endorsement.Hilton's name will be stamped in law review articles discussing the tricky balance between publicity rights and the First Amendment-but we may never know exactly.

Paris Hilton: Drug case delays Paris Hilton from entering Japan

Her arrival in Japan on Tuesday, one day after her plea, according to an e-mailed statement by Hilton's representative, Dawn Miller.Hilton spent the night at an airport hotel after being questioned by officials. She was scheduled to appear at a news conference in Tokyo on Wednesday to promote her fashion and fragrance lines.

We are continuing the immigration process to determine whether she can enter Japan or not," said Kazuo Kashihara, an immigration official at Narita. He declined to give a reason for the delay, but under Japanese law, immigration authorities are empowered to deny entry to those who have been convicted of drug-related offenses. The front desk at her hotel said calls to her room could not be connected.

Both countries have strict anti-drug laws and immigration procedures, and it was unclear whether Hilton would continue her travels.Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn't want to let down her brands and many Asian fans, the statement said. "She intended on fulfilling her contract and is trying hard to do the responsible thing, but this is beyond her control.

When an officer found a small amount of cocaine in her purse. She pleaded guilty Monday to drug possession and obstructing an officer and was placed on informal probation for one year. The terms of her sentence did not restrict travel overseas. We have no legal basis to restrict her from traveling throughout the United States or throughout the world.

Her attorney said Monday that she planned to complete the service by volunteering with animal advocacy groups and children's hospitals.Hilton served 23 days in a Los Angeles-area jail in 2007 after she was found to have violated her probation on an alcohol-related reckless driving case. She also was detained in South Africa in July during the World Cup on suspicion of marijuana possession, but the allegation was dropped when another woman in her group pleaded guilty to carrying the drug.

Hollywood Movies: 7 Awesome End of the World Movies

Hollywood comes up with some really outlandish ideas. Some are truly outlandish (The Blob), some are just plain creepy (Night of the Living Dead) and some are just plain stupid (2012).

1) Terminator

James Cameron wrote and directed this science fiction classic, Terminator. For those who don’t know the story, a cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is sent from the future on a deadly mission. He has to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), a young woman whose life will have a great significance in years to come. Sarah has only one protector – Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) - also sent from the future. The future of the human race depends on which one finds her first.

2) The Stand

The Stand has to be included simply because it is truly one of the best end of the world movies ever! (And also because it was written by one of the best horror writers ever, Stephen King). The premise?: after a virus escapes from a government research facility, most of mankind is wiped out. Those who are immune from the virus subsequently form into two camps. The first is lead by Mother Abigail and the second by Randall Flagg. Within a few months, it becomes apparent that those who support good will need to confront evil if they are to survive.

3) Wall-E

Humans decide to fly off into space and leave a set of robots to do the cleaning up. Wall-E however, has grown a personality during his time on earth and when he’s not compacting trash into skyscrapers he’s busy trying to figure out what all this junk was used for. With its beautiful imagery, lovely songs and Wall-E’s soulful eyes.

4) Independence Day

The ultimate encounter when mysterious and powerful aliens launch an all out invasion against the human race. The spectacle begins when massive spaceships appear in Earth’s skies. But wonder turns to terror as the ships blast destructive beams of fire down on cities all over the planet. Now the world’s only hope lies with a determined band of survivors, uniting for one last strike against the invaders – before it’s the end of mankind.

5) Planet of the Apes

Thinking they are alone, the surprise comes when life forms appear, not just as mute humans but as apes. Walking, talking apes. The apes see themselves as the original beings on the planet and do anything to keep all humans locked up. Like most good science fiction, Planet of the Apes combines action, adventure, futuristic settings, and allegory into an entertaining whole.

6) 28 Days Later

The plot depicts the breakdown of society following the accidental release of a highly contagious “rage” virus and focuses upon the struggle of four survivors to cope with the end of the life they once knew. Cillian Murphy is awesome as the confused Jim, who wakes from a coma to find everyone (or almost everyone) gone or dead.

7) Children of Men

Humankind is facing the likelihood of its own extinction due to an infertility defect in the population. Enter Theo Faron (Clive Owen) who attempts to protect the last pregnant woman on Earth and helps to restore faith and a future for mankind. All I have to say is that if I was the last pregnant woman on Earth.

The ugly truth: Fame VS Money

Being a model/celebrity might be a glamorous occupation as perceived by the public. However, riches and fame do not necessary come to all models/celebrities. Not everyone can be Naomi Campbell or have Madonna's fairy tale story. The journey to become a top model/celebrity is harder without some reserves in the bank. This is because working as a model/celebrity, you have to be prepared that the business opportunities are not consistent. You may need to be ready that you might not have bookings for weeks, or even months!

(Paris Hilton)

The next question that pops into our minds is; how can these models/celebrities survive in this tough competition? Well, there are a few ways to keep models/celebrities competitive in the modeling/entertainment scene. Either these models/celebrities are born rich like Paris Hilton, or they have tons of savings in their bank account! For those models/celebrities who come from a normal family and wish to stay competitive in the entertainment industry, most of them will find a sugar daddy to pump in money for them.

(Naomi Campbell)

As a model/celebrity, they may do a lot of PR work to publicized themselves and stay in the lime light, however, this PR work will not necessarily be remunerated. The return of this time invested on PR related work may or may not be visible in the near future and is not measured by money. The hope d return is measured in future fame (Something that is not easily measured).Money is what we need to pay our daily bills! Some models/celebrities might even throw parties and spend on entertaining on their potential clients. People might not know that those money is coming out from these models/celebrities own pocket to organize these lavish parties!

(Madonna)

Models and celebrities might look glamorous from the outside look, however, their level of fame for money is unjustifiable! Unless they are consistently working in the lime light, these names have no substance! They are just vain repetitions.

(Anna Nicole Smith)

Talents are needed to sustain and extend the shelf life of these models/celebrities fame. Either models/celebrities know how to play politics to stay on top of their games, or they have reserves and funds to back them up to keep up their fame in the entertainment industry. If these models/celebrities are not well-equipped with these two important attributes, then they can be eliminated at anytime! This is because they are not competitive enough in the tough entertainment business world.

(Mariah Carey)

Models/celebrities are going after scarce resources of media coverage and sponsorships. That is why to stay on top of these games, models/celebrities are expected to do a lot more and have enough reserves in the bank!
