Oguri Shun and Yamada Yuu return from their holiday!

(Source: Sanspo) It-couple Oguri Shun (27) and Yamada Yuu (25) returned from Hawaii on 11th January, touching down at Narita Airport yesterday. The couple had left the country on 4th January. When asked if this was a pre-marriage holiday jaunt, the reply was no, but with a serene smile on the face. When asked if the holiday was fun, Oguri Shun replied affirmatively. Oguri Shun was also seen to be helping Yamada Yuu with her luggage out of the airport.

The couple had started dating since March 2008, after working with each other on the same drama in January of the same year.

Fans outraged by Akanishi's absence in Gokusen:The Movie

(Source: Entame) Recently, the actors that will be starring in Gokusen:The Movie was announced. They included actors like Kamenashi Kazuya, Oguri Shun, Hayami Mokomichi, Koikei Teppei, Ishigaki Yuma, Narimiya Hiroki and Koide Keisuke. However Matsumoto Jun from Season 1 and Akanishi Jin from Season 2 were notably absent from the cast.

In the recent KAT-TUN concert held on 18th May 2009, Akanishi Jin had commented that he was interested in acting in Gokusen:The Movie, but wondered aloud if "apart from him, everybody else was acting." 'If Kamenashi is casted, then so must Jin right?" He added, revealing his dissatisfaction.

However, reasons for Matsu-Jun and Akanishi's no-show in this movie are said to be simple schedule clashes. Akanishi Jin is playing a lead role in BANDAGE, a movie slated for release in 2010. There are rumours going about however that Johnny's is embarking on a "Save Kamenashi" mission. After the dismal performance of his dorama, Kami no Shizuku, critics predicted the end of his career as an idol-actor. Hence, Johnny's has been actively helping to resurrect his career (since he was such a cash cow for them anyway); this can be seen in his guest-starring role in Kimura Takuya's new dorama, Mr.Brain, and POSSIBLY in Matsu-Jun and Akanishi's absence in Gokusen : The Movie -- since all the spotlight would be on Kamenashi as the sole Johnny's representative amongst the leads.

Crows Zero 2 Released Today in Japan!

(Source: Mainichi and Crows Zero 2) Oguri Shun, Miura Haruma and Yamada Takayuki attended the official opening of Crows Zero 2 in Tokyo today. Since this movie finishes the series, director Takashi Miike gave "graduation certificates" to the cast (since the actors play high school boys in the movie). Oguri Shun expressed his happiness that he was able to 'graduate' because he never thought it was possible.

New addition to the cast Miura Haruma expressed his happiness too at being able to be part of such a wonderful and cool movie. The new sequel runs for 133 minutes and is a sequel to the Crows Zero, which was released in 2007.

Oguri Shun becomes a Kindergarten Teacher for Kirin

Oguri-Yamada relation coming along just fine

(Source: Sanspo) On 3rd July 2008, the most talked-about celebrity couple currently, Oguri Shun (25) and Yamada Yu(23) both headed for Harajuku area in Tokyo to fulfill separate CM commitments. Yamada Yu was there to attend the press conference for children clothing brand Ciao Style Shop (located in Harajuku) while Oguri Shun was there to promote the new Sony Ericsson re handphone. In any case, both parties admitted to reporters that their relationship was going well and also tacitly verified reports of their secret disneyland date (reported a few weeks ago).

(Source: Sanspo) Doesn't Oguri Shun look much better now? (as compared to this) Anyway the press conference for Ajinomoto's Knorr Cup Soup was held yesterday, 29th June 2008 in the inner city. There is some word-pun on Mame (豆)and Omame (お豆) that was mentioned in the Sanspo article, but unfortunately your noob MFGB blogger here does not understand shit even after using google and online dictionaries. In any case, Oguri-san was just making fun of Nagasawa Masami and they appeared to be having a lot of fun. I don't really care about Nagasawa Masami so I'm going to ignore her as much as I can. Mwaha. More pictures below.

Osaka CMs

Since today's news is rather unexciting, I've decided to post my long overdue Osaka post! (that I've been talking about since before I moved from the old blog to here). I just took photos of ads which I hadn't seen before outside of Japan, or maybe really hardcore and resourceful fans would have found them online already or something but whatever, I'm dumping them here. There are more on my Samsung phone but my bluetooth ain't working. neither is the USB cable. Will save it for another unexciting news day.

Yamada Yuu's new Dorama - Seigi no Mikata [Justice's Friend]

(Source: Sanspo) Seigi no Mikata - Justice's Friend/Ally/Supporter, to be exact. The official press conference was held yesterday, 25th June 2008, at NTV's premises to announce the start of the dorama on 9th July, Wednesday at 10pm. Seigi no Mikata was originally a comic regarding an "extreme" and evil sister, played by Yamada Yuu, who picks on her younger sister, played by Shida Mirai.

For now, any interview/public appearance involving Yamada Yuu necessarily entails some questions about her lover-boy, Oguri Shun. When asked who was "Justice's Ally" (or the one who stands on the side of justice) for her personally, Yamada originally said her brother, who is also a model and actor.

'What about your "ikemen-boyfriend"? ' asked the reporter. "Mmm, maybe." Yamada replied, laughing. Click on the picture below to go to the drama's official site. The design looks a bit tacky though.

Fuss over Yaguchi Mari's Ring

For those who don't know, her current boyfriend is some dude called Kawakubo Takuji, and looks like this:
