Having revealed his break up with Shimatani Hitomi (27) a few months earlier, Tamaki was soon reported to have gone on a date in his car with another woman. To this Tamaki replied that the girl he was sighted with was probably his sister or his mother, emphasizing his current single status.

Fujiwara Tetsuya gets embarrassed by girls in bikinis

(Source: Sanspo) Fujiwara Tetsuya (26) attended the completion ceremony of his movie, Chameleon (to be released on the 5th of July) alongside Mizukawa Asami in Shinjuku yesterday, 30th June 2008.

Although he acts as a guy seeking for revenge after his buddy gets killed in the movie, the actor was visibly embarrassed to be surrounded by bikini-clad women on the stage and turned red in the face. "I couldn't see...I only accidentally saw." he mumbled, when reporters asked him what he thought of the girls around him. (so cute!)

Fujiwara also commented afterwards that he would like to try a bigger range of roles and step onto different paths.

Ueto Aya enchanted by Akanishi Jin's sexy voice

(Source: Sanspo, Xinhuanet and JustJared) Akanishi Jin (23) of popular group KAT-TUN and Ueto Aya attended the Speed Racer press conference on 30th June 2008 in downtown Tokyo; the movie is to be released on the 5th of July, this saturday.

Akanishi did the Japanese voice-over for lead actor Emile Hirsch's (23) role, who was also present at the conference. "He is kakkoii, and exactly what Speed is. I'm very happy that he did (the voice over) naturally." Akanishi Jin appeared to get along well with Hirsch and also conversed fluently in English with him.

Ueto Aya, who did the part of Akanishi's/Hirsch's lover in the show commented that Akanishi's sexy voice and acting skills were very enjoyable. A slightly flushed Akanishi responded that it was very kind of Ueto to make such a comment.

Kareena - Harman break ice

Debutant actor Harman Baweja, who is foraying into the film world with the much talked about futuristic film “Love Story 2050?, says he has sorted out his problems with Kareena Kapoor created by fabricated remarks. The actor says he was shocked and embarrassed after reading reports about him making uncharitable remarks about Kareena. The remarks attributed to him about Kareena being ‘robotic’ in her performances had upset Harman.

“I’d never speak like that about anyone, least of all someone who is a senior (colleague) and was gracious enough to work with me when I was just starting out. That she finally opted out of ‘Love Story 2050? doesn’t take away from the fact that we got along really well,” Harman, who has teamed up with Priyanka Chopra in the film, ent earlier this week. On an impulse he sent an SMS to Kareena, telling her how awful the words attributed to him about her made him feel. Kareena, who is in the US shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s “Kambhakt Ishq”, apparently replied back in a long heartfelt message, saying she has been a part of the film industry long enough to know how such things work.

She is also said to have ended her message by assuring Harman she had no ill feelings towards him and was looking forward to seeing his film that releases Friday.Harman is relieved and overjoyed that the matter has been sorted out. “All I’ll say is I’d never talk like that about anyone. Kareena is someone I truly admire. And if people want to spoil my relations with her, let them try. It won’t work.”

Indian Idol winner Abhijeet Sawant says he is set to change his ‘romantic’ image with his acting debut in “Lottery”. “The movie is not at all a romantic flick. It is in total contradiction with what audiences must be expecting from me. It is basically a thriller,” Abhijeet told In the film, Sawant plays an accountant working in a fashion magazine, who gets trapped in a murder case. The singer-turned-actor, whose voice was widely appreciated in the film “Aashiq Banaya Aapne” and the album “Junoon”, has been cast opposite television actor Rucha Gujarati and newcomer Manisha Kelkar in the film.

However, “Lottery” was not his first film offer. Abhijeet said he was flooded with movie offers immediately after he won the first season of talent hunt show “Indian Idol”, but he turned them down.

“I thought I lacked the confidence to act at that time,” he said.

So what made him sign “Lottery”?

“I met director Hemant Prabhu a year ago and he told me about the role. I was convinced since I felt the role was very close to my real self and it suited my nature.

“Initially, I thought it would be difficult to act, but gradually I grew as an actor and the outcome was surprising for all,” he said.

Apart from “Lottery”, he has a couple of other acting offers, but he hasn’t finalised anything as yet.

Though he has taken his first steps into Bollywood, singing remains a passion for him.

He is currently a participant on STAR Plus’ reality music show “Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar”, where the winners and runners-up of previously held talent hunts across channels compete with one another.

But what made him want to compete with his colleagues again?

“I came to ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar’ because it appeared as a challenge to me to compete with all of them once again … And I also thought it would be a treat for the viewers,” he quipped.

Abhijeet’s upcoming projects as a singer include “Care of Footpath” and “Mumbai.com”.

Imran Khan’s girl friend Avantika Malik revealed!

Imran Khan, the nephew of superstar Aamir Khan and filmmaker Mansoor Khan, is the next film heir to hit the Bollywood marquee after the grand debut of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor’s son Ranbir in November 2007 with the disastrous Saawariya. Bollywood film royalty never had it so good. Comparisons between the two actors are inevitable, but being of the good old film stock, Imran’s career sure looks promising. Imran made his first public appearance orchestrated by Aamir, on Tuesday evening at his debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’s music launch held at veteran Shammi Kapoor’s home in Mumbai.

His girlfriend, Avantika Malik was there too alongside the rest of his family comprising uncles Aamir and Mansoor Khan, mother Nuzhat Khan and Kiran Rao. Imran is going steady with Avantika and it’s common knowledge that the two twenty-five year-olds are very serious about each other.

But Avantika, who is the daughter of CNBC TV18’s head honcho Vandana Malik, was dating Ranbir Kapoor prior to dating Imran.

Of course now Ranbir is seeing Deepika Padukone. Avantika and Ranbir are still very friendly and on good terms despite having moved on in their personal lives.

The handsome Ranbir Kapoor and his father Rishi Kapoor may look together in a film for a special song. Director Siddhaarth showed his desire to shoot a special number for both son and father. But he is feeling nervous while talking about it with Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor.

Siddhaarth said, “For the beginning of the song, we used few lines from HUM KISI SE KAM NAHIN by Kishore Kumar. Then rest of the part has been sung by Kishore and Leena Chandavarkar’s son Sumeet as an original composition. This would be little bit emotional.

For the film Siddharth has signed Vishal-Shekhar for the music of the film. Firstly Siddharth pointed Ranbir to sing a song for the film but later on he didn’t find him fit for the song and he himself dropped that idea. There is some word-pun on Mame (豆)and Omame (お豆) that was mentioned in the Sanspo article, but unfortunately your noob MFGB blogger here does not understand shit even after using google and online dictionaries. In any case, Oguri-san was just making fun of Nagasawa Masami and they appeared to be having a lot of fun. I don't really care about Nagasawa Masami so I'm going to ignore her as much as I can. The deal with Ueto Aya and Morita Go

(Sources: Idolgravure and Gazoudaisuki and Oniti) I'll have to apologise in advance for my very hasty + selective translation of this piece from Idolgravure, partly because i haven't had bfast yet but also cos the report sounds rather unreliable (as are most from this kinda jap gossip blog) HOWEVER, since I spotted a report on Ueto Aya + Morita Go in Singapore's chinese newspapers just yesterday, i don't know, i FEEL like i should at least write smth on this.

The photo above was actually dated 2006, btw. Anyway, Idolgravure says that talk of Ueto Aya and Morita Go's marriage -and its timing- has been circulating as unnamed persons close to the source supposedly blabber to the press. Some have said that Ueto-san had chased a camera man who was going to release a scoop to the public, and another has said that Ueto-san declared that "She will never break up with Morita Go, and that she will quit [her job] if she has to."

And as Morita 's management is very strict, he communicates with her through fellow artiste Becky. Really? Well, I remember reading a previous report that Becky, Aya Ueto, Fukada Kyoko and Nakagawa Shoko are good friends. But that report was also from Idolgravure, so on the upside the info corroborates, on the downside, it's all the same source anyway. The most you can be sure of is that the source is consistent, at least. ^_^

Then the report continues to write about unnamed source who wonder about when the wedding date is, and another person repeats that if the couple break up, it will have to be from Morita Go's side, because Ueto Aya will NEVER break up with him. Last Friends SP garners 17.4% in VRs

Anyway, VRs = Viewer's Ratings and compared to Last Friends' Final Episode's VRs of 22.8%, 17.4% is rather low. Viewers also commented that the ending of Last Friends [i think they refer to the last episode, and NOT the SP] was 'confusing and ambiguous'. The company president, Yutaka-san [豊田皓 --> anybody know how to read this Kanji? did not appear in my google results] admitted that it was a bit 'confusing and ambiguous', but nevertheless thanked the viewers for their support while explaining that the themes and issues addressed in the dorama were "difficult" ones.

Kago Ai to appear on FujiTV's variety show

(Source: Sanspo) After being released from her former agency for smoking, the former Morning Musume idol, Kago Ai(20) will finally return to the Japanese small screen for now! She has announced on her blog that she will appear on FujiTV's long-running and popular variety show, San Ma no Man Ma, the episode of which will be aired on the 4th of July (next Friday). Since her return to the world of showbiz in the middle of May, she has been working on a Hong Kong film. For more history of her return and some background information, check out these entries at my old blog.

I've never heard of San Ma no Man Ma, but this variety show has apparently started since 1985 (that's about 3 years older than Kago-san here) and is hosted by funnyman Akashiya Sanma. Another comment: I realised this Sanspo post is actually a report on something she announced on her blog, so for my curious reader, click here for the said blog-post.
